Most animals are very stoic and so do not show signs of disease until the disease state is quite advanced. This is a survival tool, as any weakness or illness that is displayed would normally mean that the individual would be preyed upon. This coupled with the fact that our pets can’t speak, means that by the time we become aware that they are ill, their disease is often advanced. Our aim is to detect disease in our animals at the earliest possible point so that treatment is more successful. Fortunately we have various screening tests at our disposal which help us to pick up problems early.

This is done by testing your pet’s blood, faeces and urine to get a complete picture of their internal health.
